About Us


Warehouse:
Located on the North Side of Brisbane in the suburb of Virginia, the factory consists of a 350 pallet freezer in addition to a large chiller & processing area. This enables us to carry a large range of seafood at all times. The factory was purpose built in 2007 and was designed to have a low impact on the environment. It has an Environmental System that allows the company to recycle the majority of water used to clean the premises, retain rain water effectively as well as properly dispose of seafood waste.

Distribution:
We currently deliver 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday using refrigerated vehicles. As previously mentioned, we have strong alliances with many transport companies allowing us to provide customers across Australia and Internationally.

Seafood Products:
Queensland Reef & Beef sources its products from all over Australia, New Zealand & throughout the world. Having been in the seafood industry for over fifteen years, the purchasing manager has formed strong relationships with many boats & suppliers. This ensures that not only are we offered the best of what they catch, but also because we strongly support these suppliers, we are offered extremely competitive pricing which we are then able to pass onto you, the customer.

Our imported products are purchased from reputable suppliers, ensuring that the quality is always of high standard and due to the volume of our sales, we receive very competitive pricing without sacrificing quality. Most of these suppliers are very proactive & do end-user work allowing you to meet the people producing the product you are using.

Being Queensland's premier agent for Huon Tasmanian Smoked Salmon, we are able to not only supply you with their smoked range but also A grade fresh Atlantic salmon along with miscellaneous items such as salmon roe.

Staff:
Queensland Reef & Beef has knowledgable friendly sales representatives with over 50 years seafood experience between them. All of the representatives spend time in the office as well as on the road, to ensure that not only are we always getting new business on board – but our long standing customers receive a high level of care as well. They are available to help you with menus by letting you know which products are available at which times of the year, in addition to showing you new products that are coming out so you can incorporate these into your menu/range.

Safety & Hygiene:
With a large part of our customer base being resorts, islands & 5 star hotels, it is imperative that we adhere strictly to all HACCAP (Hazard Analysis Critical Point System) procedures and ensure that all staff are trained in food hygiene. Our processing manager has had extensive experience in the seafood industry, ranging from processing to filleting to being a retail manager so not only is he extremely experienced, he played the major role in securing our HACCAP certification so is very up to date with the current guidelines.
