Our Fresh Fish Fillets are cut here at Queensland Reef and Beef, from quality fish species sourced from all over Australia and New Zealand.
Having access to a large number of trawlers from all over Australia, we receive regular unloads of fresh fish which is filleted and dispatched, often on the same day it’s received into our warehouse. You can’t get fresher than that.
Being fresh, the product availability depends on many contributing factors, such as weather and transportation. It’s always best to speak with one of our helpful sales staff to find out what species are available on the day you require.

Fresh Goldband Snapper - The average recovery from Fresh Whole Goldband Snapper into fillet weight is approximately 44%. Producing a delicate and mild flavour, a low oil content and having firm and flakey flesh makes Goldband Snapper a popular menu and “Fish of the Day” option. While generally available wild-caught all year round (weather and other factors depending) some substitutes for the Snapper can include; Blue Eye Trevella, Coral Trout, Red Emperor and Pearl Perch.
Yellowfin Tuna - Yellowfin Tuna are highly regarded, caught off the Australian coast in warm and tropical waters. Generally available all year round, the Yellowfin tuna have a medium flavour, medium oiliness and moist flesh. Often used as Sashimi, but can also be quite versatile in cooking methods. Substitute products for Tuna can include; Atlantic Salmon, Yellowtail Kingfish, Marlin, Mackerel and other Tuna’s.
